Sarah Hicks is a small-town girl living near Charlotte, NC.

She grew up in a small mountain town, served in the Air Force, until the Carolinas called her back home to where she now lives in the vibrant city life outside of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Her journey has been anything but ordinary. From serving as an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force to becoming a registered nurse — through these life experiences, she met many people from all walks of life and learned the gift of loving people and life in general.

Sarah draws her inspiration from real emotions, fleeting moments, and the unforgettable people she's met along the way.

Her love for art was born from some of her hardest and happiest moments in life, becoming a quiet therapy that unlocked a gift she never knew she had.

With just a little paint, a canvas, and life's raw inspiration, Sarah creates work that reminds us — no matter what you're going through, something beautiful is waiting on the other side.

In 2025, the piece "Serenity," part of the Discovery Collection, was entered into the Atrium/Advocate Health Teammate Art Show.

The piece was not only chosen to be part of the gallery — it also won an award for Mixed Media.
